Welcome to Our Website

We are pleased that you are seeking out further information about the Collaborative Law process.

We believe that for a great many of you, Collaborative Law will be the best way forward in reaching agreement over major decisions that will affect you upon divorce and separation. Whilst there will always be those cases that are best resolved through the courts, such as where domestic abuse or financial impropriety is involved, the traditional court approach can quite often result in a disappointing and costly exercise for clients. Whilst we will not obviously promise that the Collaborative Law process will be an enjoyable experience, we can assure you that the unique aspects of the process means that you are likely to come out with not only an agreement that is acceptable to you but also with the view that you were in control and were able with the assistance of your lawyer to plan for your own future.

Whether your case is about your children, finances or simply who is to remain in the marital home, the solution can be found.

The most important aspect of Collaborative Law is that, although you each retain your own lawyer, the two lawyers work together in a non-adversarial approach. One of the reasons for this is that we often find that lawyers can come out of the court process pleased with the result they have obtained on behalf of their client only to subsequently discover that their client is not quite so happy and perhaps worse has not understood the process. By working in a collaborative manner, we therefore ensure that it is the clients who make the informed decisions about their future and not the lawyers.
